When I walked to the south shore of The Lake in Central Park, the streaking clouds and mossy water both had their own unique texture which complimented and contrasted one another. I framed the shot in such a way that the building with two towers is a prominent feature, but only co-stars in the show; sharing the stage with the greenery, the soft sky and the tangible water. A few boaters in the distance make the image more lifelike, but leaves the textures of the water to speak its own peace. To get the water this close to the lens, I did have to set the camera down very low in mud, almost to the surface of the lake itself.
